Creating an online portfolio site was part of expanding my design career into the Web. Dali’s portrait of Lincoln (c.1977) was the inspiration for my motif: He knew where visual imagery was headed.

I compare the Internet to movies a century ago: people paid money just to turn a crank and see the pictures move. But soon they wanted a larger image, good stories, acting and directing, color and sound.

A decade ago, people online were amazed to download text and pictures; now they want animation, streaming video, and interactive, on-demand content.

Design is the process of creative problem-solving. It is a life’s journey, and new technologies are a part of it. As a designer, discovering their potential makes my creative journey a richer one.
